NCBA FOR THE TELECOMMUNICATION SECTOR: RENEWAL SIGNED

On November 11th, the renewal of the National Collective Labor Agreement for Telecommunications was signed, marking an important step forward that introduces a range of innovations to the sector.

Among the main changes is the introduction of a classification model based on Professional Areas, aimed at enhancing skills and supporting professional growth. The renewal also provides for the creation of a distinction within the supply chain for the CRM-BPO sector, in order to promote flexibility and mitigate the contractual dumping.

From an economic point of view, the sector expects to recover IPCA inflation for the 2026-2028 period, with salary increases for employees, which will be distributed in several instalments. Supplementary healthcare will also be enhanced and a sector-specific healthcare fund will be introduced from 2026.

The agreement also pays particular attention to smart working- ensuring equivalence between on-site and remote work - and the adoption of flexible models that promote a better balance between business productivity and work-life balance.

A major highlight is the strengthening of healthcare assistance, the implementation of contractual welfare tools , and the introduction of parental leave by the hour and a 10-day paternity leave, extendable to 20 days in case of multiple births.

New measures are also planned for gender equality and support for those caring for family members with special needs. For workers with disabilities above 66%, the neutralization of the period of sick leave related to the disability has been introduced.

Among other innovations, the agreement reintroduces causal reasons for fixed-term contracts, in line with current legislation, and updates the probationary period according to recent legal changes.
