GENDER EQUALITY: APPLICATIONS FOR CONTRIBUTION RELIEF BY APRIL 30
With message No. 4479 of December 30, 2024, the National Social Security Institute (INPS) provided clarifications on the operational procedures for submitting applications related to the contributory reliefs connected to the gender equality certification obtained by December 31, 2024.
As known, Law no. 162/2021 introduced an exemption from the payment of 1% of social security contributions for employers holding gender equality certification issued by accredited bodies. The exemption, up to a maximum of 50,000 euros per year, aims to incentivize companies that promote gender equality in the workplace.
As clarified by the Authority, the applications for 2024 can be submitted until April 30, 2025.
Applications for the recognition of the benefit will be processed after April 30, 2025, and, if approved, an authorization code will be assigned. If funds are insufficient, the exemption will be proportionally reduced for all beneficiaries.
Companies already benefiting from the exemption do not need to reapply: the benefit is automatically recognized for the entire duration of the certification.
